🌟 Welcome to  GLIPTOPIA 🌟

𓆸  An educational world, where we design & reshape the future of our planet  ༄

We play with Architecture and Soil with ingenuity and collaboration!

Some of the activities you will experience in Gliptopia’s workshops:

☀️ Let’s play an unforgettable card game!

As official Climate Fresk facilitators we teach the impacts of anthropogenic activities in relation to animals, plants and the sustainability of our planet.

☀️ Theatre and Sustainable Development? Exactly!

Through collective theatre games we learn what the 17 Sustainable Development Goals are that many countries in the world have agreed to achieve.

☀️ What is a microclimate?

We make diagrammatic maps according to the sun orientation, the circle of water and the food of our soil!

☀️ How did our ancient ancestors measure and design space, and why?

We design, in two dimensions, referencing the human body & the Golden Ratio focusing on understanding design before construction.

☀️ Where does clay come from?

We learn how to isolate clay from the soil and how to make solid and safe building material from it.

☀️ What materials were used to construct places of habitation in ancient times, why are these materials more desirable than concrete-concrete?

We learn how to make model houses or large structures with biodegradable and durable techniques (Cob, Straw Clay, Adobe +).

☀️ How can we count the music we hear?

Let’s play with Rhythm, Melody, Volume and Speed to understand the Joy & Mathematics of what we call ‘Music’.

☀️ Say it with your hands!

We use the timeless language of Arts and Pottery to reflect on ourselves, our needs, our fears and our dreams.

☀️ Dad, how many trees and vegetables have you planted?

Today we planted over twenty trees and vegetables. I even planted a few more seeds that I will be watering at least twice a week! Will you come with me?

We are planting together, creating small vegetable gardens and learning about the value of farming.

☀️ Yes Mom, today I am cooking!

Let’s become food scientists and explore all the reasons we love fresh fruit juice, natural sweets, gluten free and plant based delicacies!

Our favourite workshops include all the activities mentioned above. The results of the workshops are reflected in the children’s daily lives, thoughts and habits. This knowledge is maintained both in the school – educational environment through daily practices with teachers and classmates and is transferred to the children’s families at home.

Gliptopia is an architectural and natural building workshop for children and teenagers that uses both participatory design and the individual needs of each student. The result of the workshop is either the construction of a model-sculpture or a large-scale construction (1/1) based on the need at hand.

After our creations take the desired shape and staticity, we protect them with a special coating or removable roof so that the desired texture – aesthetics emerge.

In some educational institutes we make large constructions, while in others we delve deeper by making 3D house modeling with all the steps that are used on a real building.

All of our workshops can be done independently, however, at least 2 meetings per section are recommended for a complete understanding.

* Every material we use is 100% natural and organic.
** Remember to bring your water bottle & some extra clean clothes.

In the last 5 years (2020-2025) Gliptopia has visited over 10 educational projects, public or private schools and has engaged 500+ students on the concepts of circular economy, self-sufficiency, recycling, reuse and biodiversity protection.

‘Playfulness, collaboration and hands-on creations are the foundations of experiential education, while outdoor teaching redefines the learning experience. The goal is not simply to practice skills, but to restore the interconnectedness of all arts and sciences to children, in order for them to become active and critically thinking citizens.’
